Tammy Bray
Professor and Dean Emeritus
Oregon State University

Dr. Tammy Bray received her Ph.D. in Nutrition and Biochemistry from Washington State University. She is the professor in Global Health and Nutrition and the Dean Emeritus of the College of Public Health and Human Sciences at Oregon State University. In the past, she has held many executive positions in the areas of health sciences, nutrition and research.

During her tenure as Dean of the College of Public Health and Human Sciences, Professor Bray gained support from donors for the construction of four research centers (over US$40M), eleven endowed faculty positions and student scholarships and fellowships (over US$500K annually). The College's funding from grants and contracts also increased from US$3M to more than US$18M. But most significantly, under her leadership, the College of Public Health and Human Sciences achieved national accreditation in 2014, becoming the first accredited College of Public Health in Oregon.

Through the years, Dr. Bray has extensively contributed to the research and study of nutrition and its influence on how genes fight diseases. She has published more than 110 papers in peer-reviewed journals, two books and 100 abstracts, and conference proceedings. She has received numerous awards and honors recognizing her visionary leadership, her pioneering research, and her teaching and mentoring excellence.

Her devotion to her alma mater is reflective in her contributions to the Fu Jen University Foundation towards the strategic development of Fu Jen's academic excellence.
